About Me

I am a fourth-year PhD Student in the Augmented Perception Lab at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, and in the HCI Lab at the Interactive Technologies Institute at Instituto Superior Técnico - University of Lisbon, advised by Prof. David Lindlbauer and Prof. Augusto Esteves. I am part of the CMU Portugal Dual Degree PhD Program in Human-Computer Interaction at CMU and IST. I am excited about research in Remote Collaboration, Perception Manipulation, Interaction Techniques, 3D User Interfaces, and Mixed Reality.

I received my Integrated MSc. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico - University of Lisbon in 2020.

I am currently based in Lisbon!

Personal Curiosities

I lived in India for one year during a master’s exchange program at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (Chennai). I also lived in Pittsburgh for two years during my PhD!
I am bilingual in Portuguese and French, and am currently learning Deutsche!
I was a member of the School of Music JIVE-Carnegie Mellon Jazz Choir, with amazing Professor Betsy Lawrence, from 2023 to 2024. Check us out on Youtube!
